Voice Lessons: Ditch This One Habit To Sing With More Ease and Freedom

A couple of years ago, a video of two young opera singers sitting backstage in the dressing room singing a pop-song surfaced on facebook…

I loved the video, and as singing instructor a couple of things stood out to me…

1. While they were classically trained, they nailed their pop sound

2. They were completely relaxed in their bodies

…meaning they did not crane their necks up or out to reach the top notes.

No extra manipulation was necessary  – they had found the internal path to optimize their instrument with the least amount of physical stress and still get the results they wanted.

In today’s lesson, I teach you how to shift this neck-reaching, voice-straining habit and move to singing with ease and freedom… and achieve as a result a better sound, longer career, and more confidence.

You can do this! Trust, explore the space, connect your breath and let your neck relax!

Until next week… always Rejoice In Your Voice™!
